About Us

ABOUT THE KENYA NATIONAL CONGRESS OF PENTECOSTAL CHURCHES (KNCPC)

The Kenya National Congress of Pentecostal Churches (KNCPC), commonly known as “The Church Congress”, is a national umbrella body for Pentecostal churches in Kenya.

Established in 2012 under the Church Elders Platform and the leadership of President Bishop Dr. Stanley M. Michuki, the Congress exists to restore Pentecostal churches to their God-given mandate and to call believers back to the true Christian spirit of being “our brother’s and sister’s keeper.”

Our heart is to be a united, credible, transforming, and prophetic voice to the Body of Christ in Kenya and beyond.

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH THE GOVERNMENT

Since 2012, KNCPC has partnered with the Directorate of National Cohesion and National Values under the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government (Office of the President).

Through this partnership, over 500 national leaders have been trained as Trainers of Trainers (TOTs) on national cohesion and national values, who in turn have trained thousands of cohesion champions across the country.

Key training areas include:

  • Conflict management

  • Management of ethnic and cultural diversity

  • Healing and reconciliation

  • Peace and unity

  • Communication and community development

  • Government policies and the Constitution

  • Early warning signs on security matters

KNCPC has also engaged in national advocacy on critical issues such as atheism, Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), radicalization, security, and church regulation, and has participated in the Members of Parliament Spouses Peace and Cohesion Programme.

IMPACT ON COMMUNITIES

Using security barazas, community gatherings, church platforms, media, and national forums, KNCPC has championed peace, social unity, and national values in conflict-prone and vulnerable areas, including:

West Pokot, Turkana, Samburu, Baringo, Kibra, Kisumu, Nakuru, Mandera, Migori, Isiolo, Lamu, Naivasha, Eldoret, Mathare, Huruma, Kahawa West, Mombasa, and Laikipia.

Within the church, we help clergy to:

  • Resolve conflicts

  • Offer social support

  • Share critical security information quickly through established governance structures

PILLARS OF THE CONGRESS

Our mission is anchored in key pillars that address both spiritual and national needs, including Kenya’s “Big Four” agenda (food security, housing, manufacturing, and healthcare).

  • Missions and Evangelism – locally and abroad

  • Health

  • Women and Youth Empowerment

  • Care for the Vulnerable

  • Networking and Partnerships

We have developed economic empowerment programmes, including the revival of coffee, cotton, avocado, livestock, and crop initiatives across Central, Eastern, Nyanza, North Eastern, Rift Valley, Coast, and Mt Elgon regions, as a foundation for sustainable peace and development.

OUR MANDATE

KNCPC’s mandate includes:

  • Fellowship and networking

  • Welfare and social support

Our ultimate purpose is to bring integrity, accountability, and Godliness within the Congress network, resulting in a society free from insecurity, immorality and corruption.

  • Church Branch: KES 2,000
